The water crisis in Pakistan has reached at a new level, but the government is not taking any action to deal with the issue. Because of this acute shortage of water, citizens are forced to buy water tankers at high rates. Although for the elite this is just another monthly expense, the poor now do not have access to one of the basic facilities of life – water. During hot summer, these people desperately search for a few drops of water.
Some people are often found requesting tankers’to let them have a drum of water. This is happening in rural areas of the country. The ignorance of the government is making the lives of the people even more miserable. The government must take necessary measures to alleviate the sufferings of the poor.
