PESHAWAR: The death toll in a motorbike blast on University Road on April 29 reached 11 as another man wounded in the explosion succumbed to injuries on Monday, a week after the incident.
At least 10 people, including two Afghan diplomats and a journalist, were killed and over 60 others sustained injuries in a motorbike blast on the busy University Road here on Monday, April 29.
One Ayub Khan, Class-IV employee of the Utility Stores Corporation, was critically injured in the blast and was admitted to a local hospital where he lost his battle for life on Monday, doctors and family member said.
Ayub, a resident of Tehkal, had three daughters and two sons while his wife is a cancer patient. “The family is in dire need of help. The government, welfare bodies and philanthropists should help the heirs of the late Ayub,” said a villager.
