Government Of Pakistan Promotes Two Air Officers As Air Vice Marshal

Islamabad, December 28, 2017 (PPI-OT):The Government of Pakistan has promoted Air Commodore Haseeb Gul and Air Commodore Zulfiqar Ahmad Qureshi to the rank of Air Vice Marshal. Air Vice Marshal Haseeb Gul was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in January, 1988. He is a qualified Flying Instructor. During his illustrious career, he has commanded a Transport Squadron, a Flying Wing and an Operational Air Base. In his staff appointments, he has served as Director Air Transport and Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Personnel- Airmen) at Air Headquarters. He has also served as Defence Attaché to Italy. He is a graduate of National Defence University and Air Command and Staff College (Jordan). He holds Master’s degrees in War Studies and Defence Management. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military). Air Vice Marshal Zulfiqar Ahmad Qureshi was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in June, 1988. He is a qualified Flying Instructor. During his illustrious career, he has commanded a Fighter Squadron, a Flying Training Squadron and a Flying Wing. He has also served as Commandant College of Flying Training Wing, PAF Academy Asghar Khan. He has also served in UAE on deputation. He is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College and National Defence University. HIGH-LEVEL OF COOPERATION AND SYNERGY EXISTS AMONG ARMED FORCES: AIR CHIEF

Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman has said that a high level of cooperation and synergy exists among armed forces and through our synergistic efforts we achieved remarkable success in war against terrorism. This he said while addressing the convocation ceremony of 30th Air War Course held at PAF Air War College, Karachi.He said that Pakistan Air Force has accepted every challenge and demonstrated remarkable heights of professional excellence.Beside officers from Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy, the graduates included officers from twelve friendly countries Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe. First prize distribution ceremony of 23rd National Shooting Championship held

Karachi, May 26, 2016 (PPI-OT):First prize distribution ceremony of the 23rd National Shooting Championship-2016 was held at PN Shooting Range Karsaz Karachi. Air Marshal Muhammad Ashfaque Arain, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Administration), was the Chief Guest at the occasion. Chief Guest awarded medals to the winners of different individual and team event categories. Out of 22 events, 16 events have been completed including 04 events of juniors on various shooting ranges. Pakistan Air Force hosted the championship this time. In which 250 shooters from 08 teams from all over Pakistan participated in the Championship including Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, Federal Rifle Association, HEC, and Tri Services. Competitions were held in 04 different range categories of 50 meter, 25 meter, 10 meter and Shotgun Range. The Championship was conducted as per international standards in different gun categories of Rifles, Pistols and Shotguns. Men, Women and Young shooters from all over Pakistan competed in different 22 Individual and team events. Pakistan Air Force’s Basic Anti Terrorist Training Course concludes

Islamabad, December 23, 2015 (PPI-OT): The certificate award ceremony of the Basic Anti Terrorist Training Course was held at PAF Special Services Wing, Kalar Kahar today. A total of 226 PAF personnel including 60 Officers and 166 Airmen graduated in the course. For the first time in the history of Pakistan Air Force, five PAF lady Officers also completed Basic Anti Terrorist Training Course along with male counterparts. Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force was the Chief Guest at the ceremony. Principal Staff Officers of PAF were also present at the occasion. While addressing at the occasion, the Air Chief said, “The level of training exhibited by you is truly unmatched, and I am sure that with this level of commitment and dedication no one can dare to harm us. This is our sacred motherland and we are here to defend it, come what may. We are a peace loving nation and want to live a peaceful life, but if our adversary wants to fight us we are ready to fight and die for our country”. He also lauded the performance of PAF lady officers in the course and said that a nation with such brave daughters fighting shoulder to shoulder with men cannot be defeated.
