From Our Correspondent
SIALKOT: Gepco Chief Executive Mehboob Alam has said that Sialkot could not be exempted from power loadshedding.
He said this while addressing industrialists and exporters at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Wednesday. He said that six hours continuous provision of electricity to all 21 industrial feeders in two equal intervals of three hours would certainly be made possible. Mehboob Alam said that there would be no power loadshedding in the industrial feeders of Sialkot from 9am to 12pm and then from 3pm to 5pm. He also announced that electricity would be provided after every two hours of load shedding to all domestic feeders in Sialkot. SCCI president Abdul Majid said that export industry of Sialkot had been crippled due to 20 to 22 hours long power loadshedding. He said that there was a great decline in exports from Sialkot due to the worst power outages as all production process had been halted and thousands of daily wagers had lost their jobs.
