KARACHI: A suicide bomber reportedly attacked Rangers as they conducted a search operation in Orangi Town area of Karachi early on Tuesday.
According to initial reports, the blast took place near Pareshan chowk in Faqir colony, Orangi Town.
Following the blast, officials said they were exchanging fire with militants, with grenades hurled as well.
Rangers said their operation continuing even after the blast.
While there were no reports of any casualties, officials said they had cordoned off the area and had sought reinforcements.
The sound of the suicide blast was heard as far as Nazimabad.
