Sana Mir, captain of the Pakistan women cricket team, became the first Pakistani female cricketer to represent the country in 100 ODIs after playing against New Zealand in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup on Saturday.

She celebrated the achievement by scoring a fifty, the third of her career.

Mir shared pictures on Twitter of Australia’s vice captain, Lisa Sthalekar, presenting her the 100th ODI cap, saying it was an honour to “receive it from former world’s number one all-rounder”.

Sthalekar took to Twitter as well to congratulate Mir and called her “a very special player”.

Pakistan Cricket Board congratulated the cricketer on the milestone.

Earlier this year, Mir became the first Pakistani woman to take 100 wickets in ODIs and the 15th in the world, according to ICC.
