For many Pakistanis, 2007 is ‘the year of grief’ in which we lost a charismatic leader, Benazir Bhutto. Her contributions towards making the country a booming economy can never be forgotten. She worked for women empowerment and encouraged Pakistani women to fight for their rights. Had it not been for her, women in Pakistan would remain a step behind in the practical world.
She dreamt to turn the country into a developed one. However, because of her unfortunate assassination, this wish couldn’t come true. Because of those who do not want to see a flourishing democracy, the country lost a charming politician. But, she isn’t gone. She will be in our hearts forever. She wasn’t afraid of any threats and embraced martyrdom bravely.
