Activists and supporters of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) from a provincial assembly constituency, PS-98 Keamari, lodged a protest near the Bilawal House on Wednesday against the party’s decision to award a ticket to former union council nazim Dilawar Shah.
The protesters flayed the decision, and demanded that a ticket should be awarded to Akhtar Hussain Jadoon, who was twice elected MPA and also served as a Sindh minister.
When they tried to enter the red zone at the Bilawal House, police used teargas and batons to disperse them. Some of the protesters detained for refusing to leave.
