QUETTA: At least eight people including four Frontier Corps personnel were injured on Friday in a blast in Quetta’s Kaichi Baig area, Express News reported.
According to sources, a vehicle of security forces was targeted in the attack. Explosives were recovered from the roadside and gun shots were heard soon after the blast.

An improvised device was reportedly planted in a rickshaw parked near the vehicle. The injured were immediately shifted to nearby hospital.
Police and rescue teams arrived at the site after which the area was cordoned off. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack and further investigation is under way.
On May 22, two men were also killed and three others injured in DI Khan when the rooms of a hotel caught fire after an explosion.
An official of Saddar police station told The Express Tribune the incident occurred in Sufi Siraj Hotel on Bypass Road. According to initial investigation, some people were filling petrol in a large container when one of them lit a cigarette which resulted in an explosion.
