This is to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to an important issue. Urdu Bazaar used to be the most popular place among students because of the availability of a large number of books at reasonable prices. The market also had a stock of used books. However, nowadays it is next to impossible to find a book at a nominal price in Urdu Bazaar. A lot of students cannot afford expensive books and this affects their academic performance.
Education is very important, not just for the growth of an individual but also for the growth of nations. It is the responsibility of the government to tackle this problem and ensure that books are sold at affordable prices. Education shouldn’t be turned into a privilege.
