MANSEHRA: Unidentified miscreants set on fire the election campaign office of the Awami National Party (ANP) in Torghar early Monday, police sources said.
The sources said miscreants broke into the election office of ANP candidate Namroz Khan in Muchar area of district and after tearing banners, posters set the office ablaze and fled scene. The police registered the case against the unidentified culprits.
Namroz Khan, who was also provincial minister in the ANP-PPP coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, told reporters that Torghar was a peaceful district and blamed the sabotage act on his political rivals. “I challenge my rivals to face me in field and don’t hatch conspiracies like this. I will defeat those who come in my way,” he said.
