The Balochistan government has taken a plausible step to ban hunting in the province. The federal government has also been asked not to issue permits as hunting is now a provincial subject.
The Balochistan cabinet has also directed all 34 deputy commissioners of the province to ensure that no hunting takes place in their respective districts. The other three provinces need to pay attention to this development and follow in Balochistan’s footsteps. The Foreign Office is strongly requested to review its ludicrous policy that perceives hunting to be a pillar of our foreign policy initiatives. Instead, we must consider more humane, rational and honourable policy options.
